Once again, under the tutelage of Dave Wannstedt and company, Pitt football has shown the uncanny ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. That's right, the pre-season ranked Panthers suffered a ten-point loss to a team that isn't even supposed to win the MAC this year. Even with a 14-0 lead, they found a way to get outscored 27-3 from the middle of the second quarter on.

With Wannstedt, the Pitt football team has simply become a joke. There is no doubt that there is talent on the team, but they are getting no coaching at all. For a team that is supposed to be “on the prowl”, they kicked things off with a muted “meow”, showing that their win against West Virginia was a fluke.

Even worse, the man who foolishly signed Wannstedt to a contract extension last fall has given his “vote of confidence”, continuing his attempt to be “the man who got fired with Wannstedt” instead of “the man who fired Wannstedt”.

Hopefully Pitt's athletic department will start to get the message after another sub-.500 season…”Fail to Pitt”.
