While a strange combination of reflective longing singing and large-scale rave music, David Guetta’s “Shot Me Down” is a pulse-raising dichotomy of a song.
When the driving beats start going, I can envision a stadium full of people jumping and pumping their arms together. And the build-up into it gets the pulse going, with the lyrical portions reigning the song back in again.
I love running to this song, except for the fact that it’s too short. It gets me excited and I often start picking up my pace…and then it’s suddenly over. If there was a 10-minute-long version of this song, it would be near perfect (and I’d probably be completely out of breath).
