After going with non-traditional holiday songs the last few weeks, I’m coming back around to a traditional version of a longtime Christmas standby. While the song dates back to 1943, it’s the 1965 recording of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas” by Andy Williams from his Merry Christmas album that brings back many fond childhood memories.
Just listening to this song, I have many memories of tree decorating, cookie making, opening presents and spending time with my family that flit through my mind. It’s a reminder to embrace this time with my children as they grow, and try to make memories with them and let them know how much I love them.
With that, everyone have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow! Hopefully, you are fortunate enough to spend it in the company of those you love.
